[So while a shared room would have been a good idea financially, they both agreed that it was better to have rooms of their own. Ed had to wonder if they'd share a room if Winry knew... about the future. Most likely not. Not in that early phase.

Though he had been thinking of actually talking with her about the future. His feelings for here were stronger than ever. After spending time with her like this, they could only grow even more. And Winry didn't know about them. She didn't know about the confession. How on earth was he going to deal with that?

Well, the only logical way out would be telling her. Which is why he was standing behind her door. He hadn't knocked, not yet. He needed to calm his mind and heart first. He had been calm when he decided to talk with her, but now he had lost all his composure.

It would be fine. He'd tell her and... well, he had no idea what would happen, but at least she'd know.

With that in mind, he knocked on the door.]

[Sometimes they had shared a room, usually that had been the times when Al was around too -- but even then the brothers had usually had their own room for most nights. Winry didn't mind it. As long as they stayed in the same world, she was fine with whatever room arrangements.

Besides it would have been weird to share a room with just Ed, because he was Ed and right now he was ... older, than she had ever seen him back home. Even if Winry was the same age here, it was just because she had been here for two years after coming home from Briggs and other places back in Amestris.

Argentum the Poochyena informed her about Ed's arrival before he knocked by walking to the door and growling like she was about to bite his legs through the door. Winry sighed. Would that puppy just quit acting like the boy was some bad company? She waited for his knock before she stood up leaving some papers and a notebook to the bed. The Poochyena ran to the other side of the room as soon as Winry walked to the door. Winry shook her head at the puppy, kind of amused by her behavior. Well, Argentum was still very good at informing her about all visitors.

She opened the door soon after his knock. Looking at him, she noticed, that he probably had something to talk about. ...What now? Even if he was older than her, she was still good at reading his gesture despite him being good at hiding most things behind that serious face.

Winry stepped aside, giving him space to walk in to the room because that what she thought he'd want to do anyway.]
